La Onda Bajita

All my relatives in this program I offer a short segment of “Across Indian Land” reporting from NYC at the 18th session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. The radio segment on “La Onda Bajita” (8-10 pm) begins at 8:30 pm. On the occasion of the anniversary of the murder/execution of Emiliano Zapata on April 10, 1919 in Chinameca, Mexico I offer insight as to the continuing Indigenous struggle for freedom and liberation as a right to Self-Determination.

I will report on the annual gathering I am attending of Indigenous peoples at the United Nations and in it delegates of AIM-WEST calling for a global study on the sterilization of Indigenous women, which seems to be prevalent and a silent practice by governments of a form of GENOCIDE!
