Leonard Peltier, political prisoner being held over 37 years for a crime he did not do himself, was represented by bay area support groups, who were at the annual Stanford Mother's Day Powwow on to welcome the general public and to explain Leonard's case.

AIM-WEST volunteers, also a co-sponsor with the booth, said the powwow attendance overall seemed to be the largest gathering in it's nearly four decades!
