Bay Native Circle-taped interview of the 2nd Annual Alcatraz Island “Indians of All Tribes” reunion during 1969-71, with Elders Eloy Martinez and Len Foster (spiritual adviser for Leonard Peltier) held on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Also, AIM leader, and Board member to International Indian Treaty Council, is also a Viet-nam combat veteran, Mr. Bill Means gives an update Standing Rock, North Dakota regarding the “Black Snake” aka Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL). Bay Native Calendar is read by Mr. Bismarck Delgado.

In addition, an interview is followed with Ms. Lisa Milos, explaining her support and efforts to bring Standing Rock and DAPL home to the local level in labor and in union resolutions, calls for banks to divestment from extractive industries and support for MNI WICONI “Water is Life.”

Finally, we hear from Dr. Rupa Marya of “Do No Harm” coalition, and "White Coats for Black Lives” to announce a rally in SF Thursday afternoon at the UCSF Medical facility near the Haight, demanding UC Regents divest and re-direct investments away from fossil fuel and be consistent with the principles of well-being, and support for Standing Rock against DAPL.
