June 1st was proclaimed Elder’s Day in California & today is the 100 anniversary of the Federal Indian Citizenship act
Yesterday was proclaimed Elder’s Day in California & tomorrow JUNE 3RD at 1:00 PM at the Assembly Chambers State Capitol Sacramento, CA: there is a Floor Session with an ACR 166 Presentation honoring the Centennial of the Federal Indian Citizenship Act of June 2, 1924, granting citizenship to Native Americans. Five years ago Governor Gavin Newsom's also gave a formal apology to California Native Americans on behalf of all citizens of California and Executive Order establishing the Truth and Healing Council clarifying historical record between the state and Native Americans.
